PSI Pre 2011 Exam Question Paper

General

1. The exam has 145 questions and lasts 145 minutes. The clock starts when you press Start exam and runs on our server: closing the window or losing connection does not pause it.
2. The countdown is shown at the top of the exam window. When it reaches 00:00:00 the exam is submitted automatically; nothing can be answered after that.
3. Questions appear in a different order on every attempt. Questions that share a passage stay together, and the passage is shown beside them.
4. Each correct answer earns +1; there is no negative marking. Unanswered questions score 0.
5. Use Full screen for a distraction-free window. Leaving the tab is recorded with your attempt.

Answering a question

6. Click an option to select it. Click it again, or press Clear Response, to deselect it.
7. Save & Next saves the answer and opens the next question. Mark for Review & Next flags the question so you can revisit it; an answer on a marked question is still counted.
8. Every change is saved automatically within a few seconds. The save status is shown below the top bar.
9. Keyboard: 1 to 5 choose an option, ← → move between questions, M marks for review.

Question palette

The palette on the right of the exam window (the Palette button on phones) lists every question. Click a number to jump to it. The colours mean:

• 1Not visited · you have not opened this question yet
• 2Not answered · opened, but no option chosen
• 3Answered · an option is chosen and saved
• 4Marked for review · no answer yet; you want to come back to it
• 5Answered & marked · answered and flagged; the answer still counts

Submitting

10. Press Submit at any time. A summary of answered, marked and unanswered questions is shown before you confirm.
11. After submission answers cannot be changed. Your score, percentile, the correct answers and explanations open immediately.
12. Past attempts are listed under My account → Exam history.
